New Women’s Health event for September
We are pleased to announce an exciting educational event taking place in September. Join our clinicians, Dr Katie Barber, Dr Helen Kennedy and Dr Lara Walford, Women’s Health GPs and Accredited Menopause Specialists for an informative evening talking about Women’s Health. We’ll be discussing a variety of issues including prolapse, period problems, incontinence, menopause and much more and there will be an interactive ‘ask the doctor’ Q+A at the end so come armed with your questions for our expert panel.
Dr Lara Walford join the Oxford Menopause team
We are delighted to announce that Dr Lara Walford is joining the growing Oxford Menopause team from May 2023.
Lara graduated from the University of Manchester in 2007 and after working in Manchester and New Zealand, she trained as a GP, qualifying in 2013. She continues to work as an NHS GP in addition to her role in Oxford Menopause having recently relocated to Oxfordshire with her family.
Clinic Update
We are pleased to announce some additional clinics at The Carriage House, Dr Helen Kennedy will now have clinics on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays providing more availability for our services.
Menopause teaching and training
As well as providing specialist Menopause and Women’s Health appointments at the clinic, Dr Barber also works in the NHS as a GP specialist in gynaecology and menopause and lectures across the public and private sector. She is a member of the British Menopause Society Medical Advisory Council and joins a team of national experts to educate, inform and guide healthcare professionals in all aspects of post-reproductive health.

Since moving to our new premises, The Carriage House, in September 2023 we have been joined by some new members of staff to support the doctors working at Oxford Menopause and the ever-growing clinics.

After two fantastic years of growth we have now opened our very own Health & Wellbeing Centre at The Carriage House in Ardington.

Dr Katie Barber has been elected to the Medical Advisory Council of the British Menopause Society.
